Nathaniel (Fr Nate) began his ministry at St Paul’s August 1, 2020. He is passionate about adult education and spiritual formation.

He is also a member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee for the South Bend Symphony.

He received his PhD in moral and political theology and intellectual history from Durham University (UK) in 2016 and has since published in a number of academic journals, popular blogs, and had a book come out in 2020 with Fortress/Lexington Press on happiness and the doctrine of calling. He also had another book published in 2023 with University of Notre Dame Press on contemplative spirituality, ethics, and the doctrine of creation.

Fr Nate has also taught courses in theology and ethics at University of Notre Dame and Bexley Seabury Seminary Federation. He is also co-host of a podcast on theology and culture called The Two Cities.

If you would like to meet up with Nate, he is in the office on Tuesdays after 11am, and by appointment.
