Sunday Worship:
8am:
Contemplative Eucharist
10am:
Choral Eucharist
(Includes
Children's Sunday School and Nursery)
As with all faith communities, worship is at the heart of our Christian life together at St. Paul's. The beginning of our mission statement, "...to celebrate the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship...," reflects such primacy.
Our two Sunday services offer different styles with which to bring praise, adoration and honor to God.
The 8am service is contemplative in expression, involving periods of silence in which to reflect upon the Scriptural passages and the sermon preached on those passages.
The 10am service heightens the dynamic of praise by including traditional and contemporary music as part of the worship expression. Most Sundays include a song from the St. Paul's choir at this service.
This service includes a children's sermon, followed by Sunday School for children 2 and older. A nursery, staffed by parish volunteers, is provided for children under 2.
Both services use Rite II from The Book of Common Prayer, 1979 (with an occasional exception) and include readings from Scripture, intercessory prayer, and the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Anointing for Healing.
