Companions on the Journey
Companions on the Journey is an interfaith network providing practical, spiritual and emotional support to individuals returning to society after serving time in prison. Volunteer faith teams are matched with a prisoner four to six months before release to develop an action plan for release. Volunteers are required to make a one to two year commitment to assist the recently released prisoners as they reenter society.
A team from St. Paul's recently completed a support period with "Joe", which was very successful and rewarding for Joe as well as for the team members and congregation. We are currently assisting "Darryl", and welcome anyone who would like to be a part of this or any future support teams.
If you would like to participate, please contact Pam Jentz.
