Outreach Ministries
"For I was hungry and you gave me  food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison, and you visited me."   (Matthew 25:35-37)

St. Paul's has been blessed by our participation in outreach programs.  We take seriously our commitment to those less fortunate both within and outside of our church community.

  • Food Pantry

Last year, the members of St. Paul's collected over 1800 pounds of food and supplies. Some of these donations are kept at the church for emergency requests and the rest is sent to local food pantries.

  • Battell Elementary School Mentoring

Members of St. Paul's provide mentoring for at-risk children at our neighbor, Battell Elementary School. We also donate clothing and school supplies. Mtr. Susan is also available for counseling and bereavement support.

  • St. Margaret's House

SMH is a day shelter for women and children in need.  Members of St. Paul's actively serve SMH.  Support includes meal preparation, Winter Walk Fund Raiser participation, donation of clothing, toiletries, food, school supplies, and monetary contributions.  St. Paul's members have served as SMH board members.

  • Habitat for Humanity

Every summer, local churches join together to fund and build a Habitat house. This house is called a Matthew 25 house. St. Paul's organizes a team to help build the house and to provide lunch to volunteers and staff.

  • Thanksgiving Baskets

More than 35 Thanksgiving baskets were distributed in 2014 to local families. St. Paul's members donate food items and money to stock the baskets and deliver them.

The collection of basket items and distribution planning occurs in October.

  • Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas-Jesus Christ.
Collections take place in early November.
