Bp Little's 10th Anniversary

On Friday, March 5, 2010 at 7:00 pm the Diocese will be celebrating the 10^th Anniversary of the Consecration of The Right Rev. Edward S. Little as Seventh Bishop of Northern Indiana. It will begin with Holy Eucharist in the Cathedral of St. James followed by a reception. All are invited. Please R.S.V.P. to the Cathedral office at stjames@michiana.org or 574-232-4837.

Lenten Semi-Quiet Day

Saturday, March 13th
9am - 1pm

Come join us for a morning of prayer, meditation, baking and fellowship. We will be baking simnel cake to serve during coffee hour the next day, which is Laetare Sunday.

Parent Meeting

As promised in Jen Fulton's report on her Church Development Project which she presented at the Annual Meeting, we are scheduling a meeting with parents to talk about, among other things, how to keep children engaged in worship, what your needs are as parents, what their needs are as children, and what you would like to see for them at St. Paul's.

 

Please make plans to join us for a brief meeting following coffee hour on Sunday, March 14.

 

As Jen said, the presence of your children is a sign that the Holy Spirit is moving at St. Paul's. We now need to cooperate with that movement and do what we can to nurture their (and your) growth.

Chrism Eucharist at St. James

March 17th
10am

The Chrism Eucharist will be held at St. James Cathedral on Saturday, March 27^th at 10:00 am. Mother Susan will be preaching at this service.

 

At the conclusion of the service, healing teams will be available for a time of prayer and anointing.

 

A luncheon will follow in the undercroft. If you wish to attend the luncheon, please contact our office before March 1, so that we can make reservations.

 

The bishop encourages as many lay persons as possible to attend this significant event in the life of the diocese.

Holy Land Pilgrimage Information Meeting

On Thursday, March 25, Mother Susan will host a meeting in her home (5721 Bridgeton Lane, South Bend) to more fully explain the pilgrimage, which you can read about here.

Beginning February 7, at 9:00, adults will gather in the undercroft for conversation on the Book of James.

 

No advance preparation is necessary.

Stations of the Cross

Fridays from Feb 19-March 26
5:45pm

Stations of the Cross will be held at 5:45 pm each Friday during Lent. You do not need to attend all of the Fridays to follow along, Each offering goes through the Stations in their entirety. Please consider making this part of your Lenten devotion this year.

St. Paul's "Homework Help"

Thursdays, 3:15pm

The "homework help" outreach program begins at 3:15 every Thursday with a snack followed by tutoring, followed by an evening meal. If you are interested in helping, a sign up sheet is posted in the church, or you can email St. Paul's.

Adult Study Program
